Send Your Demolition Project Details

The quickest way to get a useful answer is a short email with the property address, a plain description of what you want removed, and some photos. Your request goes to a demolition contractor working the Baton Rouge area, who reviews it and reaches out about a site visit.

Details that make a first reply useful

  • The house number and street, or for country land with no posted number, the closest road intersection.
  • Which structure is going: an entire home, a freestanding garage or shed, a swimming pool, specific interior rooms, or a slab or drive.
  • Whether the house sits on a slab or on piers, if you know.
  • Roughly when the structure was built, and whether it took on water in 2016 or another flood.
  • Any deadline you are working toward, such as a closing date or a builder's start.
  • Whether utilities are still connected and whether an asbestos survey has been done already.
  • The best way and time to reach you.

Photos that make the first reply more useful

Pictures let the contractor size up the job before driving out. Stand back far enough to catch a whole wall in each frame and shoot every side of the structure. Add a shot of the driveway and street so access is clear, and one that shows how close the nearest neighbor, fence or large tree stands. Close-ups help for anything odd: overhead wires, a cracked foundation, a fuel tank, a pool's decking or equipment pad. Daylight photos beat dim ones every time. For interior work, include each room you want stripped and any visible water line on the walls.

What happens after you write in

Red Stick Demolition is a referral site run by a marketing company, so it does not send anyone out itself. Your message is passed along to a demolition contractor working the Capital Region. That contractor reads it, may ask a follow-up question or two, and then sets up a time to walk the property. Pricing and scheduling come from the contractor after that visit, never from this website. You are under no obligation to hire anyone, and nothing you send commits you to a job.

Prefer to do some reading before you write? The services overview walks through each kind of job, and the service areas page names the towns served around the capital.
